2 things I appreciated in the last 2 days:

1. Taking a walk on the beach. The ocean looked like a gem, the wind was warm and the atmosphere was out of this world.
2. Running through the sprinklers on my run back home. That must have been a sight.

You gotta love Saturday mornings

As soon as the sun hits my window, I reach over grab my phone and check the time. It’s usually between 6am – 9am, depending on what I did the night before. Last night I didn’t do much, I couldn’t keep up with Friday because Thursday kicked my ass (no alcohol involved). I had Chili’s for dinner and came home to watch a movie but fell asleep before it started.
This morning I was ready to go! I love Saturday morning in Santa Barbara, especially sunny ones. After the tropical storm we had last night, I was happy to see that it had left town without a trace and that we were back to business as usual…70 degree weather, beach cruisers and pampered dogs.
My run to the beach was out of the norm and as I sat with M.Rodi for breakfast I decided not be business as usual, heck, I had already run to the beach. Instead of my yoush (usual), sausage and eggs, I went for the blueberry wheat germ pancakes – they were delish. We sat and enjoyed a few beers with our breakfast – my favorite part! And then – I decided to run back home.
I’m off to the Cinco de Mayo Festival, maybe I’ll run into some crazy tourists – We have three cruise ships using our water today because they can’t go into Mexico…Or maybe I’ll go visit Hen. Whatever I do, I’m sure I’ll have a great Sat.!
